The Friendsgiving Toy Drive is an initiative started by Ana Teresa Rodriguez and Luis Garcia , along with their close friends Karen and Eduardo Abbo, Maggie and Guillermo Fernández, Bernardo and Maggy Duran, Ricky and Cristy López, Mabel and Walter Álvarez, Anette and Rick Buckley, Mercys Gómez and Brynert Marquez, Audrea and Felipe Caro, and Stephanie Sayfie and Morten Aagaard. What began as a heartfelt desire to spread love and kindness has grown into a cherished tradition, devoted to bringing hope and happiness to the children of the Lotus House community in Miami.

A bike is so much more than a toy—it’s a gift of freedom, joy, and possibility. It opens up new worlds, allowing children to stay active, healthy, and curious. With each bike we give, we’re offering kids a chance to engage in physical activity, discover the outdoors, and grow in confidence. This isn’t just about play; it’s about giving children a tool that can shape their future in meaningful ways.

Our purpose is to light up the faces of children with smiles that reflect pure joy. During the holiday season, we work tirelessly to ensure that every child feels the magic of Christmas. We believe that every child deserves to feel special, loved, and embraced by their community—especially during a time that celebrates giving and togetherness.

A Legacy of Impact

Last year, thanks to the incredible generosity of our community, we were able to deliver hundreds of bikes, scooters, tricycles, and essential items like blankets and diapers to the children at Lotus House. The joy and excitement in their eyes remind us why this mission is so important. In 2024, with over 1,000 bikes already donated, we are ready to make this Christmas the most magical one yet.
